Boys to Men VIII Concert
Boys to Men VIII Sampler Stream Download
The Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix sponsored the Boys to Men VIII Festival. The event was held in the superb acoustics of Camelback Bible Church in Paradise Valley, AZ on November 5, 2011. Lucid Recording Sciences captured the concert, and it is now being made available to the public. This festival, originally initiated by the Phoenix Chorale,
is aimed at The ASU Men’s Chorus, Spirit of Phoenix, and the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix perform in this celebration of the male voice. Also featured are the Brophy College Preparatory Men, the Phoenix Children's Chorus (Boys), and the men's chorus of Dobson High School. The recording culminates with all of the men and boys coming together to perform three pieces as one large massed chorus. Additional male singers from other choirs that did not sing separately join the massed chorus, including Phoenix Metropolitan Men’s Chorus, Veritas Prep Academy, Copper Canyon High School, Andalucia Middle School, Bradshaw Mountain High School, Chandler Preparatory, and ASU's Schola Cantorum. Altogether, the massed chorus consists of roughly 350 male voices, singing together in beautiful harmony! The CD features 13 songs in total, recorded with excellent quality and clarity. CDs are delivered in a high quality CD jewel case, with full color artwork on the inserts and on the CD itself. All singers who were signed up for the credits through their choir liaison are included in the credits on one of the pages of the front insert. A sampler to listen to is available above, just under the cover artwork. CDs are officially being sold by the Orpheus Men's Chorus, a 501-C3 non-profit corporation. Please visit the Orpheus Male Chorus website for contact information. You will likely need to email Orpheus to order the CD. |
